On my way home on the 40U bus route, I decide to go back to Grant Park to see if I could get a good recording in the cave I found for my field recording. My first thought was that maybe the cave would distort the sound of the waves because it was very close to Lake Michigan. After a few minutes of recording the waves, a strange noise started to appear. At first I dismissed it as wind but after I stopped hearing it I looked up and saw that it was a group of people yelling at each other walking farther down the beach.


This was the best recording of them when they were nearer to the cave.

Drift Field Recordings

I took my Drift strategy through Grant park. I decided to follow a stream that led me to many different locations. This was taken on a warm day during winter so the steams were quite active. This eventually led me to Lake Michigan which I followed until I came to a path that was a part of Seven Bridges.
